Is The Rapture The Next Main Event In Bible Prophecy
Many people believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture; that The Rapture occurs before the Great Tribulation. Many also believe The Rapture is Imminent- meaning that it can occur at any time. The Rapture will take place, but is it the next main event in Bible Prophecy? Many people have been taught by Bible Theologians, and teachers that The Rapture is Imminent. We all want to be raptured before the dreaded Great Tribulation.
However, not all theologians and teachers espouse a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Other views are Mid-Tribulation, Post-Tribulation, Post Tribulation Pre-Wrath (some refer to this as the Pre-Wrath View). The main difference is at what point does The Rapture take place in relation to The Tribulation. These different views of The Rapture are by intelligent people, so how can they be teaching different views? There are a few main reasons. First, people are automatically disposed of wanting to be raptured before The Tribulation, so they tend to look at scriptures with a Pre-Tribulation mind set. Second, the Pre-Tribulation view is the prominent view taught at most seminaries, so many of the graduates teach what they have been taught. Third, often scriptures are taken out of context, and other key related scriptures are often omitted and also taken out of context.
Jesus addresses The Rapture in Matthew 24. Verse 1, “And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Jesus knew there would be deception regarding the Sign Of His Coming, and of the end of the world, so He provided clear teaching. He then explains what will be “the beginning of sorrows,” what some call the birth pangs. Then He explains what follows afterwards.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Jesus then states in Matt 24:15, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:).” Jesus then states the events that follow after the Abomination of Desolation. These include the Great Tribulation, and a colossal Meteorite Shower, and then The Rapture (verses 16-31).
Furthermore, the Abomination of Desolation doesn’t take place until the middle of the Covenant, which is the 7-year Peace Treaty, that is the 70th Week as stated in Dan. 9:27, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” The covenant or Peace Treaty hasn’t yet been signed; the Jews don’t have the temple to perform it. When the Jews reinstitute Sacrifice and Oblation (the Daily Sacrifice), which follows after the 7-year Peace Treaty is ratified, that begins the 70th Week (a literal 7-year period). This is the last 7-years immediately prior to The Millennium.
All this is fully explained in the following books, “THE RAPTURE AND DANIEL’S 70th WEEK,” or “THE END TIMES UNVEILED.” Both books are identical except for the Title. There is much more information. The books clearly explain passages that many have difficulty in understanding. When the various End Time scriptures are connected with each other in context, a clear picture regarding the timing of The Rapture is seen. Also, the timing and duration of various events are explained; this happens once the 70th Week begins. All this is in total agreement with Matthew 24, Revelation, and other key End Time Scriptures.
